He was born in Bermuda and raised in Australia. After his professional career was derailed by injury, he used those connections Down Under to help enhance his recruiting portfolio -- that included his godson, and future #1 NBA draft pick, Ben Simmons. All that work ultimately led Patrick to getting his first Division I head coaching job at UC Riverside.
